Museum District Day
Rice Gallery will participate in Houston Museum District Day. As the country’s fourth largest city, Houston is among the most popular destinations for travelers, according to Trip Advisor. And it’s no surprise to locals that one of the city’s major draws is the Houston Museum District. The District is home to thousands of masterpieces, historic relics and groundbreaking science experiments, just waiting to be discovered. On Saturday, September 15, Houston will celebrate the 16th annual Museum District Day. Once again, 18 museums will be free and many museums will host special events and exhibits. Visitors are encouraged to walk from one museum to another, but free pedicabs will also be available — a new addition to the festivities.
